WHAT IS THE NASH HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION ENDOWMENT:

In general terms, an endowed fund represents money set aside, in perpetuity, in which the principle is invested and a small portion of the fund's balance is paid out, usually on an annual basis.  A primary benefit of any endowment is that it provides replicable cash flow and, hopefully, avoids the peaks and valleys of being dependent on annual fund-raising.

The Nash Health Care Foundation Endowment (the “Endowment”) has been established as a permanently restricted fund, the principal of which cannot be spent.  However, the income from the Endowment is designed to be allocated by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, subject to any donor restrictions, based on the Board’s annual assessment of the community’s health-related needs.

WHO WILL IT BENEFIT:

The Foundation’s fundraising efforts can best serve the needs of the hospital clinical service lines and the community by focusing on programs that support community health, including assisting patients who have financial hardships as a result of medical issues or for designated purposes such as scholarships, projects, programs, or any aspect of its charitable work.

The Endowment will focus on the following areas:

·         The promotion of community health within the service area.

·         Health and Medical programs that will support the uninsured or underinsured individuals within the hospital service area.

·         Educational programs that support professional health care careers.
